Files you use with the free tools

Photo to PDF, Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF and Image to Text run entirely in your browser. Your files are read and processed on your own device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Closing the tab discards them.

Image to Text downloads its recognition engine and language model from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr) the first time you use it. Only the program files are downloaded; your image is not sent anywhere.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to count page views and clicks on our buttons, so we know which pages help people. Neither is used for advertising, and neither receives the files you use with the tools.

• Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. It records the pages you view, the buttons you tap, your browser and device type, and an approximate location. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
• PostHog runs without cookies or local storage on this site. It records the page you visited, the button you tapped, your browser type and an approximate country derived from your IP address.

Store links

Links to the App Store and Google Play pass through scanpaper.app/go/ so the stores can tell us which page a download came from. Once you're on Apple's or Google's site, their privacy policies apply.
